Source attribution

Every expense records who or what created it and through which surface.

What is recorded

Manual entries from “+ New expense” are attributed to the signed-in person, never an agent.
Agent entries record the exact API key or OAuth connection and whether the transport was API or MCP.

This appears as “Added manually” or “Added by Muse” everywhere the expense appears, with the detail panel also showing app versus API/MCP.

Why it matters

Attribution makes a multi-person, multi-agent ledger trustworthy. An agent can only edit or delete expenses it created, never those created by a person or another agent.
