Meta Muse

AgentCents is an expense-tracking ledger. Muse can record expenses you have already made and answer questions about your spending. It never moves money, makes payments, or places trades.

Connect

• Add AgentCents in Muse with the server URL https://www.agentcents.com/api/mcp.
• Muse opens the AgentCents approval screen. Sign in, review the permissions, and approve.
• Choose Read-only access on that screen if Muse should only look things up.
• Revoke the connection any time in Settings → Connections; access stops on the next request.

Tools and classifications

• Read — whoami: workspace, plan, permissions and rate limits. No side effects.
• Read — list_expenses: expenses filtered by date, category, merchant or source. No side effects.
• Read — get_expense: one expense by id. No side effects.
• Read — get_summary: month total and per-category totals. No side effects.
• Read — get_budgets: monthly budgets with spent and remaining. No side effects.
• Read — list_categories: category names. No side effects.
• Write — log_expense: adds one ledger entry. Requires idempotency_key; a retry with the same key returns the original entry, never a duplicate. Counts toward the Free plan's 50 entries per month.
• Write — update_expense: edits an expense this connection created. Cannot edit entries from people or other agents.
• Sensitive write — delete_expense: permanently removes an expense this connection created. Muse should confirm every time.

Permissions

• expenses:read — all Read tools.
• expenses:write — Write and Sensitive write tools.
• offline_access — stay connected with rotating refresh tokens until revoked.

Status and errors

Every result returns the saved record, so a success is only reported after it is stored. Errors come back as an error result with a code and plain message:

• invalid_token — signed out or connection revoked; reconnect.
• insufficient_scope — the connection is read-only; Muse can ask to re-authorize.
• plan_limit_exceeded — the Free plan's 50 entries this month are used; nothing was saved.
• agent_writes_disabled — the person paused agent writes in Settings.
• not_found — no such expense in this workspace.
• rate_limited — wait retry_after seconds, then retry with the same idempotency_key.

Limits and restrictions

• Free: 50 entries per month, 30 requests per minute, 1,000 per day.
• Pro ($9/month or $79/year): unlimited entries, 120 requests per minute, 20,000 per day.
• Adults 18+ only. Each connection sees exactly one workspace.

Data and support

Data is used only to run the ledger for you. It is never sold, used for advertising, or used to train AI models. See the Privacy Policy for retention and deletion. Support: support@agentcents.com.
